Choose between an internship and a graduation project

Start with your school requirements

Before comparing titles, check what your programme requires: a placement, a thesis, a graduation project, or another form of assessed work. Confirm the required duration, supervisor, deliverables, and approval process with your school.

Then compare those requirements with the details on each live listing. If a field is not stated, treat it as a question to ask rather than an assumption.

  • What must be assessed, and by whom?
  • Does the work need a named school and workplace supervisor?
  • Which location, language, and schedule constraints are real for you?

Compare the work, not just the label

An internship may be the right entry point for building practical experience; a graduation project may be the right fit when you need a defined research or delivery question. Neither label guarantees a particular outcome.

Ask how success will be reviewed, what access is needed, and how the project can be described in your portfolio without exposing confidential information.
